Happy Family

I first heard from my sister-in-law and then my information was re-routed to Amy....my sister-in-law's sister-in-law. LOL!

Amy and her family made the trip to the in home studio where we were able to take some nice family pictures. Poor Adam.....he had just gotten a few stitches taken out not too long before the session and still had recovery marks on his super cute face....but lucky for us...the photoshop fairy sprinkled a little dust on me and I was able to make it all better. Sort of like when you give a kid a kiss on their owie....except this was done electronically. =D

Besides, how weird would that be if your photographer started kissing your child's owies. LOL...no worries, totally would NOT happen. But the visual is enough to make you chuckle a little. Hehe.

 Even though Adam wanted to stick his tongue out at me for just about every pictures...I got lucky anyhow and still caught him smiling!

They even brought along the family pet. She was so excited once we got her out of the car. She ran all over the place. So its a good thing we stopped for pictures at a rather large feild.

All in all, we were lucky that the trees sheilded us from the cool wind and that the sun was brightly shinning. I'm so happy that I was able to spend the morning with them and meet the entire family....pet included.

Family Reunion!!!

This photo shoot came together in a short time frame. Laura made contact with me only a week beforehand and asked if I was available since their entire family would be together to welcome baby Noah into the family. It had been over 2 years since the whole family got together.

I was honored to have been asked to photograph this amazing family. They are so sweet and you can tell there was no sibling rivalries.

Twinkle twinkle little star.....

Victoria & Nick Engaged

One of the last colorful days this year and we were lucky that it did not rain on us ;)

Big congrats to this couple. Both so full of life and so open to new and modern ideas. Victoria is a good friend of Ly's and I was so fortunate to finally meet her in person and be a part of their engagement session.

Victoria has so much style and was more than prepared for the shoot. This made things so fun and always changing.

We started in downtown Milwaukee....big oppsy though. The holiday parade was almost starting and we were stranded on a blocked street. Yikes!  We did finally get out of all the craziness and linked up with our couple at Milwaukee Public Market. After that, it was smooth sailing!

Victoria and Nick, we are so happy that we were given the opportunity to capture these beginning moments for you. Many congrats and the best to you both as you head towards wedding bells!

What a cutie.....this little man is going to break hearts as he grows up. Thank you to Carly for bringing Landon over for a shoot.
I'm so thankful to have found Carly and am very excited to photograph her wedding in June.

Welcome Two Sweet Baby Girls!

I have been obsessed with newborn and babies in general ever since I was a little girl.  That obsession has not changed now that I'm a big girl.  I was so fortunate to meet 2 families with their first family addition over a week ago:  baby Samantha and baby Arianna.  With mom and dad right by their side, they showed me a lot of personality.  Somewhere between their sleepy, playful, happy, and "I need to go to the bathroom" mode (lol, yes, it happens when they get cold), I was able to capture some precious moments.  Thank you for sharing your day with me and for letting me hold your bundle of joy.  I look forward to seeing them soon!

Sara & Kyle

Smiles, kisses and Wedding Bells!
It was a beautiful day Saturday and we were fortunate to share it capturing Sara and Kyle's big day.  We had great weather and great people. Sara and Kyle were married by her uncle, who happened to be the one that married Sara's parents 20+ years ago!

The ceremony was held is a wonderfully restored chapel that had these fantastic long windows. It was the perfect spot to showcase Sara's dress.

Well now...we certainly can't show you the dress without the shoes! ;)

Shoes really are a girl's best friend. 

They were such a fun and happy couple. Smiling from ear to ear and just enjoying being husband and wife....even with lots of onlookers, these two were not shy. They love each other and will show the world that.

Sara's Mom was so creative. She had her wedding dress taken in and the florist was given permission to take a piece of Mom's dress and use it to create a this stunning floral wrap. It was beautiful and so touching for her to have shared that with her daughter.

The cake was deliciously made by Cakescapes in Appleton. Funny thing...we usually are done in by the cake, but this time around, Sara and Kyle has a candy bar! Oh boy....that was so tempting...that we just decided to give in. Haha!

Thank you Sara and Kyle. You two were amazing and have such wonderful families. We wish you all the best on your new journey together. Congrats!!

Jingle all the way.......

I know it's scary...but its coming right around the corner!! It's getting close to that time of year for holiday pictures!!

I'm so glad to have met Vickie and her beautiful children last week. They were all so So SO adorable! Lucas was a wee bit excited but they were all wonderful.

....and, you know they are sweet kids, because it was pelting rain outside and they still wanted to help me bring my photography equipment out to my car ....aww...so sweet!

It's Family time :)

Only 3 more weeks until Thanksgiving!  Boy, time flies, especially when you are having fun.  We had a blast during wedding season.  Now, our focus has shifted to families and the upcoming holidays =)

Just a couple of weeks ago, we had the chance to work with this handsome family of five.  They picked the perfect time, the leaves were all turning colors and the weather was a bit windy but beautiful.  

The kids had a great time playing with all the leaves.  They even tackle mom and dad :)

Carly & Tanner

Young love!! These two lovebirds were fantastic. Hard to imagine they share a most charming son together! Carly and Tanner were wonderful to work with, so natural and full of smiles.

Seeing how excited they were to share the rest of their lives together gave me butterflies! We were so lucky to share this wonderful afternoon with them and can not wait for June!

We are so happy for the two of you! We know that come Wedding day, its going to be such a blast and full of the funest people and best of all...they are going to all be people that absolutely love you guys.

Devon & Anthony

Devon and Anthony make such a cute couple! It has been 10 years and they are still so in love. It was very adorable watching these two. Just like being kids again. So fun.

They are getting married in February....in the bitter cold!! (just kidding). They are going to be sitting on a white sand beach in the Dominican Republic saying their vows as the sun gracefully shines on their backs.

Then... after the mini-moon, they will head back to Wisconsin and celebrate with their family and friends at The Waters in Oshkosh. 

A fall engagement shoot, followed by a summer wedding and a winter celebration. I think you've well covered all your seasons. Seasons of LOVE!!

Devon & Anthony: you two are awesome and your puppies are such cuties! Can't wait to see you married and to be able to capture your celebration in Oshkosh. Congrats!

Oh Lilly!

So it took Lilly just a little bit to warm up to the camera. It started off with lots of staring and questionable looking faces at me, but I think with a few dangly toys that make music, I was finally able to draw her attention! That is, if she's not being showered with love from her Mom and Dad =D

It never failed. Everytime I needed Lilly to be just a little bit happier....all Mom had to do was give her a little toss and she was all smiles!

It was so great to meet Sarah, Adam and Lilly! All three of them so full of life and happy. How can you look at them and not smile?? So adorable! Thank you.

A day in the park

Smiles and smiles radiated from little Henry from the moment he stepped out of the car on that beautiful Saturday morning. Just shy of two and all he wanted to do was run around! It was so much fun chasing him and watching him geek out.

Sarah and Nguyen were great sports for coming out so early. I'm so happy that we were able to capture their first family photo.  

As little Henry grows, let him always remember these precious moments. Moments when Mom showered him with love and hung on to him dearly. Moments when Dad guided him and kept him safe on his little path. Family: together and always

Baby Nora!!!

Welcome Baby Nora!! Only a week old and she was so so good. Slept just about the entire time. Nora joins the world with her two older sisters.

It started off a bit cool in the studio, so in an attempt to make Nora as comfy as possible without her itty bitty clothes on, I cranked up the heat to 80!! Everyone roasted, but Nora stayed sleepy and comfortable. :)

Just the cutest little bee! A short and precious moment where she was awake.

Her sisters gladly welcome her into their family. Look...they are already having fun! To Mom and Dad, congrats once again. You two make beautiful babies and wonderful parents!

It was an absolutely beautiful day on Saturday. I was very fortunate to have been asked to help take the lead on photographing this amazing couple. Thank you to Lifetime Image for considering me to help capture this day.

Maria was such a beautiful bride. She is originally from Guatemala and most of her family flew in to help celebrate her wedding day. They were such a lively group and so much fun to be around.

Directly after the ceremony, the couple stepped outside where the clouds had finally blown away and waiting for them were two pure white doves ready for their release. It was a great moment for them and all their guest, especially when they released the other flock of doves that were sneakly hidden behind them.

The entire bridal party was such a blast. As I was placing all the men and little men in the picture....I asked "grandpa" to take a step to his right and everyone busted out in laughter! And yes...he is a grandpa, 15 grandchildren. But they were not acustomed to calling him that. Its a good thing everyone has a sense of humor!!

The day was filled with lots of smiles, laughter and some pretty crazy dance moves =D
All in all, it was a great day and I'm glad I got to share it with two amazing families and two amazing people. Thank you!

Love is in the air

This past Saturday, I had the opportunity to take Sara and Kyle's engagement pictures.  The sun was out, the weather was cool and breezy and there was definitely A LOT of LOVE in the air.  Sara and Kyle has been dating for 5 years, and within 5 minutes of meeting them, you can tell they are very much in love.  There's an undeniable chemistry between them.

Our afternoon was filled with laughters and we had a blast hanging out in the park. Congratulations Sara and Kyle!  We look forward to photographing your wedding this coming November!!!

Welcome to the world, Levi :)

At 5 days old, Levi is sleepy and happy as a ham.  Within a 1.5 - 2 hour span,  he had 4 diapers change, 4+ feeding and plenty of nap time  =)  I even get to experience my very first newborn baby boy projectile... and let me tell you, it's a good 2 feet out.  It was all worth it though.  Thank you Ashley and Luke for spending the evening with me.  Congratulations on your baby boy!
